America tried (Trijicon MRO) and failed spectacularly. The T2 is way overpriced for what it is. Holosun is filling that void and I haven’t seen a lot of reports of failure. For example if you put the pictured holosun in a 1.93 mount (which isn't 1.93" tall btw, it puts the center of an aimpoint optic at 1.93"), the center of the optic will sit closer to 2.2" or so.
